Note I tried to use the tool for autogenerating the support template but got a run time error. I will attempt to fill in the blanks manually: Area: Media Portal Program MP Version: 0.2.0.0 RC4 Skin: Blue2 Basic Home Windows Version: Windows XP Home SP2 CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP2000+ Memory: Generic 512Meg Motherboard Chipset: ECS K7S5APro Video Card: ATI Radeon 5500 Video Card Driver: 8.252.0.0 5/3/06 Video Card Resolution: 640x480 Video Render Type: VMR9 (I think. I have use hardware option on) Video Codec Type & Version: MPEG2DEC Filter Audio Codec Type & Version: MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder TV Card: 2 Hauppage PVR150's (one MCE other nonMCE) TV Card Type: hardware TV Card Driver: 2.0.43.24054 2/23/06 Optional Log: not sure what to look for Optional References: Synopsis: ----------------------------------------------------------------- When trying to fast forward while watching a recorded program I try to press the right arrow to fastforward. This immediately shows +15 seconds. At this point, the display is frozen (like it is paused) then in about 10 seconds the video starts playing again. It does appear that it has jumped +15 seconds. This same thing happens when trying to rewind. Any ideas on why things are so slow? Any tips on improving the responsiveness? Many thanks!
