I've had a look through the forums and found a few post with the same problem however no real solution. When I try to fast forward or rewind xvid/divx files both the audio and video freezes, the only way I have been able to get out of this is to reset the machine. DVD's are not a problem.

I'm using ffdshow with pretty much everything set to libvacodec. New install updated drivers on everything and all updates installed.

Any advice?

Thanks

Using Vista32sp1 and XPsp3, with Vista codec pack + Cyberlink PowerDVD (installs divx codec) on first and trying https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/offtopic-57/stand-alone-filters-htpc-44614/ on 2nd.

Both fast forward rewind fine here, EVR is selected as Video renderer in Vista and vmr9 (no exclusive enabled) in XP.

Try uninstalling and remove any settings made, then run filmerit (link in sig), select the padlock button to unlock and repair any errors.

    Regards
