I realise that Radio is not a priority for any of the devs, but does anyone think that most of the code from My TV could be reused to make My Radio more functional. (My Radio doesn't work at all for me in multiseat at the minute.)

Currently I have about 200 dvb-t and dvb-s radio stations, to have 'Radio Groups' just like the 'TV Groups' would be really useful.

From my 200 radio stations about 25 are available on both dvb-t and dvb-s, to have 'Combinations' just like the TV section on the TV Server would be good. Currently all the radio stations that are available on both dvb-t and dvb-s list twice in My Radio.

I don't know if timeshifting works in single seat radio, but even if it does, having the same format and look as My TV would be nice. In fact most of the My TV templates would do!

Basically what I'm wondering is - can the code for My TV be reused to make My Radio better, sort of My TV without the pictures!

Already thought about that. Should be possible but at the moment the focus is far more on fixing bugs/improving stability than adding new features

You're not alone in wanting this, in fact development started on a replacement plugin but it seems to have stalled for now.

We're getting there though, there's EPG support for DVB radio, and you can even record! (though I think that's an accidental side-effect of engine reworking rather than a deliberate new feature.)

Surely it wouldn't take much work to get it working properly, but at the moment this works for me:
I find a programme on the radio EPG I want to record
I go through "My TV" and to set up a new schedule
I select to search the EPG, and enter the name of the radio programme
I select the radio programme from the list and select record.

That's it, and so far I've managed to record three programmes this way just to test it. I'm recording to .TS (lets me rip subtitles from recorded TV) in case that makes a difference, and ProjectX doesn't like the fact that there's no video stream but quite happily demuxes a working MP2 out of it.

I'd like to see this too. I can see why you might want to separate Radio and TV, but Radio could well mirror the TV functions. I tried a PM to the My Radio Replacement guy, but no response. At the moment, my problem is more basic. MP won't deliver radio channels from the Technisat SkyStar 2 card at all, though it faithfully downloads the EPG data. Just no sound! (I know the card works, because the s/w that came with it delivers radio OK.)
