i need help!
i can't figure out how to set up audio for mediaportal
heres what i have,
M3A78-EMH HDMI MOTHERBOARD
WINDOWS XP
HDMI OUT TO ONKYO TX-SR875 Receiver
i installed ffdshow (latest one), i have AC3 & DTS as S/PDIF
in mediaportal i have all my video and audio settings to ffdshow
now here is the problem, when i watch a movie in mediaportal i only get AC3 & DTS when watching
blu-ray movies, but if i watch a dvd movie i ripped in my harddrive all i get is 2 channels. i have to use simulation THX
on my receiver to get any sound to my rears. but if i watch the ripped dvd's through my media center i get AC3 & DTS. IS THERE A SETTING IN MEDIAPORTAL i'm missing or missed.
(all my movies are ripped to my harddrive inc. BLU-RAY)
