Rollback from 0.2.3.0 to 0.2.2.0 (1 Viewer)

Hi. I recently upgraded my system from my trusted 0.2.2.0 to 0.2.3.0 (clean windows xp pro sp2 install with mediaportal 0.2.3.0 and all required drivers) - in the belief that it would make my system even better than what it already was. However, after i did that, my system bluescreens and freezes several times each evening.

I want to go back to my old 0.2.2.0. Is there any way to do this in a simple way? How about the settings, such as channels, folder locations etc?

please advice, i really need help

MP itself will not cause BSOD's, this is a driver problem, did you reformat, before reinstalling Windows, if not the chances are there are remnants of old drivers left behind, which are screwing things up.

Hi. Thanks for the quick response
It is a completely new install... reformatted and repartitioned drive, clean install etc...
However.... can this be the problem; i only use one disk, Partitioned into one small C: drive, a D drive (6gb for swapfile) and the last partition as a 'media' disk. May it be that the system is having trouble writing to 'all' partitions 'at the same time' might do it..?

No it can't be .
I use the same system : C: for windows system (XP) D: for swap and E: for media drive .
Everything is ok for me with 0.2.3 version of MP .
Seems you have a driver problem . Have you done all windows upgrade proposed in windows update ?

Can you post the blue screen ?

I had the same, but it was the asus nvidia addons that caused it (gamers OSD, etc...)
