Being able to run a command before a scheduled recording and after a scheduled recording would be useful.
It can bes used to do a netsend to all clients when a record starts or run a batchfile or start any other program by the users choise.
As a POST recording it can be used to start a batchfile that encodes the recording to a low resolution video to be used on portable media device or to be stored on a NAS for archival purposes and coopies it to another location.
gbPVR has this function and it is wery useful.
