I'm fitting out the bathroom in my camper and the toilet is the piece I keep going back and forth on. The floor space is tight, so I'm looking at a shorter bowl around 18.5 inches, but I'm not sure whether that shorter height ends up feeling awkward over a full season of use. I'm also torn between a standard gravity flush and a dry composting style, since water capacity and dumping logistics both matter for how I usually travel. One concern is the mounting footprint and whether the flange lines up with what's already in the camper; another is how the seals and valves hold up when the rig sits between trips. I don't have hands-on time with either type yet, so I'm trying to narrow the options without overbuying. If you've swapped a toilet in a small camper bathroom, what size and type worked out, and what would you check before ordering?
Update after looking around more - Best RV Toilets of 2026 kept coming up while I compared shorter bowls. It gave me a few more sizes to check against my flange, though I'm still unsure a low bowl would feel right over a full season.
