    Hi,
I am using s-video to scart connector (an old TV that only has this one SCART input) and it is OK for the moment but
this doesn't autoswitch to AV input when MP is powered up.
So now I would have to use the TV remote to switch to AV (since I don't seem to be able to get my Hauppauge remote/blaster to talk to the TV - have tried all codes but looks like it is not supported).

I have read that Pin8 on SCART is used for indicating that a signal is on AV but I don't know how to tweak it.

Does anybody have any other suggestion or idea how to easily have the TV to go to AV input?

    Thanks

    Hi.

You must apply 12 Volts (eg. from compurer) to this pin (for security put a resistor of 1 kohm between).

sorry, but my english is veeeery poor. :sorry:

Thanks or your reply.... nothing wrong with your English!

I have seen something similar on the WEB what you describe... maybe I will go down that road, although I don't really like to have to take voltage from the PC - I guess I could take a 9V battery (I believe 9volt is the minimum it requires to switch to 4:3) but then again the battery will ware out after some time...

    Anybody any other suggestions.
I was hoping to use the Hauppauge Blaster but as I said I haven't found a way to tell it to use a code other than they have provided it with (or at least that's what I think the issue is...)

    Thanks
