TV-Server Version: RC3
MediaPortal Version: RC3
MediaPortal Skin: Aeon Wide
Windows Version: XP MCE SP3
CPU Type: AMD 4850e
HDD: 500Gb Samsung
Memory: 2GB Corsair
Motherboard: Abit 780G
Video Card Driver: Catalyst 8.8
1. TV Card: Nova T500

Ok I have just got mediaportal rc3 up and running and sorted out various issues i had with codecs etc... Now that i am about to start using it i have realised that it does not wake from s3 standby to record scheduled shows... I have tried using the mst standby tool but that didn't change anything so i really need some help. It is probably something simple i forget to do but seeing as i am new and this and couldn't find any threads on these forums which helped i need help.
I have also tried the mediaportal standby tool but still nothing...

You need the TVServer Powerscheduler enabled for this, also in MP config\Powerscheduler client enabled too.

    TV-Server/Configuration/Plugins/PowerScheduler - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

Has a guide for setting this up. but as your running a Hauppauge T500 then there needs to be some other settings done.

Does your pc go in and out of standby with remote ok, does your TV work with MP after standby.

basically i configured powerscheduler which woke it up but then it crashed or something, in the end i wrote a vb script to close mediaportal and tv service on standby, then on wakeup start them up again where i then get an error message but pressing esc continues to record

    Hi,

A guy has written a tool called MPStandbyHandler which does exactly what you are describing with a GUI. This worked for me first time, but now I'm having issues again which is related to something else.

    You should use this.

    Cheers
