Synopsis:: -

Ok, I just bought a Sabrent TV-PCIRC TV tuner today. I noticed that support for this card was added May 2006, so I downloaded the 0.2RC4 release, and then the 6/18/2006 SVN release to get that updated. My card works in InterVideo WinDVR, and I set up GraphEdit to make sure things worked:

I set MP up, and started, getting my first error:

"Unable to create graph"

MediaPortal.log

I thought maybe the problem was the line:
Code:
Filter tvaudio not found in definitions file

So I opened CaptureCardDefinitions.xml, and even though tvaudio was properly defined there as in GraphEdit, I removed the tvaudio filter and all connections with that filter. The next run through, it complained about encoders, it was trying "InterVideo Video Encoder", while I had "InterVideo MPEG Video Encoder", so I also replaced the %videoencoder%, %audioencoder%, and %mpegmux% variables with the values as shown in the GraphEdit screenshot above.

Running again, I got the same error:

"Unable to create graph"

MediaPortal.log

Code:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I've been getting this same exception in all cases, which makes me think this refers to the underlying problem.

What do you all think is the problem here? I'm especially curious about the first "tvaudio not found" problem, since it was defined in the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is there some way to turn on higher levels of debug information? Or to trace this problem would I have to compile it in debug mode? Thanks
