You have to laugh at these things. I spend ages fiddling with my HTPC and it can get really frustrating when occasionally things don't work. My wife just doesn't understand "it is working, so why are you mucking around with is again!". This forum will keep you sain!

There are two good reasons to muck around with your MP installation; if it's has failed it needs to be repared, if it all works well it must be improved. Why do wifes have such a hard time to understand that ?
