Overlay mixer generally seems to work and uses slightly less CPU but there are slight picture abnormalities in some 1080i h.264 TV recordings. VMR9 (renderless) mode will only provide a picture if VMR9 mixing mode <strong>AND</strong> YUV mixing is selected and there is tearing unless Direct3D Fullscreen is selected which still seems to be BETA feature since it goes to full screen and there seems to no way to get out of the player apart from rebooting.</p><p></p><p>Another point is DirectVobSub/VSFilter seemed to be interfering with hardware acceleration so I unregistered it with RadLight Filter Manager (<a href="http://www.dvbviewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=2543" target="_blank">from here</a>) and I had to go into safe mode (F8 on startup) to delete VSFilter from Windows/system32 folder.</p><p></p><p>So what I need to know is can MediaPortal use VMR9 (windowed) renderer?
