After my unsuccess with XP SP3, I've upgraded my graphic card to HD 4550 and installed Vista back (before it was reported, that DXVA works with 9.4 drivers in XP again). I use ATI 9.4 where HW accel works with EVR. With the HD4550 I have also motion adaptive deinterlacing (on the contarery to the integrated HD3200) which is "must" for smooth interlaced video. Anyway, now I have two issues to solve. 1) Since some ATI driver version (9.1 or 9.2), DXVA outputs video using 15-235 color profile consistently for both SD and HD material, but regardless of whether TV/monitor uses 0-255 or 15-235. My samsung TV most likes 0-255 on HDMI in YBrCr or RGB colors or 15-235. So now I configured CCC for the RGB and whole range and TV for 15-235. However this is not consistent with applications/games and I've read that YBrCr is best for movies. So I would like to have the expansion to 0-255 back. Unfortunately no reg tweaks works. Any idea? I searched in internet and found some info about haali render, which supports the expansion, so I'm not sure whether this is only issue of OS, drivers or also MP. For the time being it seems for me the best thing to downgrade ATI drivers to 8.12 where it worked. 2) HD material stutters - I see 2 skipped frames in every few seconds in EVR. Of course I have vsync enabled. May be this is related to the 24p playbackproblem reported in MP 1.0.1? I cannot check the refresh rate in EVR - I suppose it's not visible due to another MP bug. Anyway exactly the same behaviour is with the integrated HD3200 as with the HD4550 graphic card. 3) Since MP 1.0.1, when I watch TV I get freezes on some channels. I think this is not related to the codecs but to poor signal and TsReader issue. In past there was a patch using the RelaxTsReaderForBadReception.txt but it seems not to work anymore and older TsReader.ax cannot be used in MP 1.0.1.
