Is that correct?I've done some testing with various files on my 2600XT and P4 2.8Ghz. The details of each file were obtained from MediaInfo. The number after the = is the height * width * number of frames, as I read that around 9m was the max that could be played, so I was interested to see if this was true.300 1080p noaudio.mkv (AVC) (10.6Mbps, 1920*800, High@L4.1, 5 Ref Frames = 7680000) - under 10% CPUI am Legend.mp4 (AVC, AAC) (7979Kbps, 1920*816, High@L4.1, 3 Ref Frames = 4700160) - around 20% CPUThe following 3 clips are too short to properly observe the CPU usage, but it looks like it's about 10-20% and I tested them in MPC-HC and they all played with DXVA - H264 :AAC 6CH 48000hz - Fast & Furious 4 2009.mkv (AVC, AAC) (1280*544, Main@L4.1, 3 Ref Frames)AC3 6CH 48000hz - Deja Vu 2006.mkv (AVC, AC-3) (1280x528, Main@L5.1, 8 Ref Frames)DTS 6CH 48000hz - Jumper 2007.mkv (AVC, DTS) (1280*544, High@L5.1, 5 Ref Frames)WMV (WMV3) 720P - 80% CPU, OKWMV (WMV3) 1080P - 90% CPU, OK*I can't seem to get WMVs to play accelerated. In MPC-HC and WMP11 even 720Ps are unwatchably jerky, whether DXVA (in WMP11) is enabled or not. (same in MPC-HC)I've posted screenshots from DXVA checker, which might make more sense to you and explain why MPEG-2 or WMV (WMV3) doesn't seem to be accelerated.
