Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Yes, I have the same with some VC-1 files... when I press enter to play, screen turns black to start playing but it immediatly stops again. The file works fine in VLC and WMP.
Should be fixed in RC2 then I guess.

I experienced the same when trying to play MKV file with 1080P24 VC-1 rip of Blu-ray.
I traced the problem to the Dolby True-HD audio track flagged as default in the rip - there apparently is a problem with HD audio soundtracks related either to haali media splitter or FFDshow audio decoder .
The same file played fine in MPC-HC, which uses a different splitter (as far as I know).

Nope, latest SAF and MPC-HC use exactly the same one (MatroskaSplitter.ax)

Well, I still use SAF 4.0 Stable. In this thread, post 5141-5150 the problem is discussed as well (it seems related)

Hoborg: You didnt wrote you have HD tracks in this M2TS...
MKV doesnot support them wery well.
Hoborg: Try SAF 5.0 experimental, MKV are not splitted by haali any more in the new version.

So is it MKV files or is it the Haali splitter that causes/caused the problems with HD audio?

- or is it related to FFDSHOW as Cheapskate25 indicates in the linked posts above?

I think VC-1 is "general fail" :)

What do you mean by this? Is there no setup that allows for smooth VC-1 playback in MP?

I am running rev25300 from trunk, so that's not it either. Didn't work with RC1 either. Graphstudio displays it fine here as well, and it plays in WMP fine as well. I geuss that's just something really strange not related to SAF?

That's what I said, it works fine in VLC and WMP as well... what could be up??

Forget about VLC, this is not DirectShow player.

There is a new core.dll here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...playing-problems-rc1-tv-radio-avi-dxva-78501/

Also, damn automerge :)

There seems to be a mixup in changelog, SVN100318 should be SVN 100317?

I already have the rev25300 core.dll, so that's the newest.
