Will do. I know my studdering is from codec issues. (not heat as others have said) heat doesn't go away when arcsoft recorder works fine. ;-)

In the above captures settings.

(I just got the unlocked version) uninstalled SAF and reinstalled unlocked.

In the capture - I see ffdshow DXVA video decoder (I don't have that option).

Also in the 2nd capture - I see Cyberlink video decorder (PDVD10) and I don't show that - I show (PDVD9)


any ideas?

Are you sure you installed SAF5?

oh 5 is in the "experimental" subdir. I just grabbed the one that was in the root.
will try new vers.

I like that it un-installed my CCCP pack
and QTdirect show (you said to report back) so those were detected and uninstalled.

Shoot it won't let me access system32 folder (I didn't run as administrator)

clicked - cancel - continued, but I assume it's not complete. I'll try to un and re-install and run as admin.

Though end pop up says "operation successful?" maybe I should try first before - un-reinstall? will do that.

NOTE:
-Cyberlink decoder is only available in *unlocked* SAF !!!
-FFDshow will do auto crop + brightness corection for best looking analog source TV.

Does this mean under "TV" use MSFT DTV-DVD- - instead?

Uninstalled and reinstalled 500 - seems to have stopped (at least surverely minimized my studdering).
I have it configured as pictured at the start of this thread.

With your latest SAF5 SVNs my Cut Software TSDoctor ( Cypheros) doesnt work very well. I think I needed Haali because with SAF4 the TSDoctor works fine.

Is it possible SAF5 special configure that it used Haali instaead of your SAF5 Splitter ?

Hoborg - thanks so much for the help on this. In testing many of my home movies. (home shot videos) I'm again finding that my .MOV (are unable to play).
These are Video codec M-JPEG and Audio PCM it says.

They did play before, but your SAF5 wanted me to uninstall most everything... and removed my QT codec I believe. Can I reinstall that or how else to see .MOV's with SAF5?

Always test videos in graphstudio (to eliminate player problem).
If you can post me not working *.m2ts video sample, i will look on it (my m2ts samples working).

If you have problems to play MOV files (there are some unsupported formats), rename them to *.MOVSD or *.QT, they should work now, just make sure you have QuickTime Framewrorks installed (QT_lite - at last 4.x).

Hi all,

I installed a clean windows 7
I always used saf 4 but wanted to try this version 5
afther I installed it everything played fine but in every movie I see 2 eyes in the movie.
Is this because this pack is still experimental?
Or can I remove them?
