Could be that you have DTS set to passthrough. If the BluRay has DTS-HD this will occur in MePo but not in graphstudio. FFDSHOW has some problems with DTS-HD over spdif. Try to set DTS to decode. This will be fixed in saf6 I think.

SAF6 alpha was already released, so you can try it.

Hi Hoborg,

thx for all your work. I recently added SAF 5.01 to an older HP Pavillion ze4235CA Laptop Fresh Windows Professional XP install. I just installed the codec pack to play mkv and avi files etc with MPC Player. Everything installed fine but all the videos only have audio while Picture stays black. They seem to play fine using Media Player 11 though. I was wondering if you had any ideas as to what the issue could be. Should I use SAF 4.00 maybe instead?

What GPU such laptop have? It looks like it doesnot support RGB32 colorpaces.
Durning playback click on FFDShow video decoder icon, output and disable RGB32 and try to play your video again.

If that fix the issue, i can add it in to SAF6 to do it automatically if you post SAF logs.

SAF 5, why will i see 2 subs, one Yellow, and one white?

playing movie, and having srt file in folder = Yellow subs, cant turn off.

If i then enable subs ill have Yellow and Now also White subs
???

how do i stop the yellow subs.. i want only subs when i enable subs..

the yellow subs are the subs of ffdshow, you can disable them via ffdshow settings
