Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

hoborg, have uinstalled saf4rc2 and installed the latest saf5 beta. When I use the ffdshow dxva decoder for my HD channels the picture is green on HD channels > 720p, see attachments. I use self-compiled SVN (25326). Cyberlink decoder works fine.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I have a problem with SAF 5.0 svn 10319a and HD mpeg-2 movies.
Mediaportal not start playback, show message "Unable to play file, video codec V_MPEG2", MPC HC and GraphStudio stop worked and killed by windows. This file sucessfully played under WinXP and SAF 4 beta on same computer.
I tru to use fixed Core.dll - this fix playback for not-DXVA h264 files, but not MPEG2.
Mediaportal complain in log files like
2010-03-20 17:26:59.762437 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: VideoPlayer9: Exception while creating DShow graph Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at DirectShowLib.IGraphBuilder.AddSourceFilter(String lpcwstrFileName, String lpcwstrFilterName, IBaseFilter& ppFilter)
    at MediaPortal.Player.VideoPlayerVMR9.GetInterfaces()

    Anybody have ideas?

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

QUICK QUESTION (searched for an answer and didn't find):

Should I remove 4.0rc1 (sorry this is the last I had installed) and THEN install 5.0 experimental or can I install over it?

    BONUS QUESTION:

Will the "old" unlock, still work?

Hi Hoborg, i have still this Problem. I installed the newest SAF SVN ...19a.

Have you any idea? What logs can i give you to anlyse the Problem?

    Andi

    Hi,

the issue above almost exist on my 2. Client, but this night i did a complete new installation of my HTPC and mit first Client, to test a clean System with the SAF Codec 5...19a *unlocked*.

But i hope you guys have also a Solution for my 2. Client :D

Like it seams all file formats runs on my 1. System, but i have still some questions.

    1. As you can see on the Screenshots below, i can select PDVD 10 as normal mpeg2 Decoder, but i can't select PDVD 10 as h.264 codec. Here it doesn't matter if i select Video, TV or DVD menu.

    2. What are the correct setting for Video h.264 codec? ffdshow DXVA Video Decoder?
And should i select as DVD Codec ffdshow or PDVD 9 or 10?
    :D

    Greetings

    Andi

Now i found some issues with some files, the Graph is shown below on the Pictures. The files don't start and some other .mkv files only play if i select in Video Decoder Setting ffdshow Video instead of ffdshow DXVA Video Decoder?

The shown files below wont play with both settings. This are 1080i files in an .mkv container

    Any Ideas?

Select ffdshow DXVA for H.264 decoder. Graphs seem fine.

So I thought by myself, but if I select the ffdshow DXVA filter for h.264 the strange behavior is that much fewer h.264 files are played as if i select the ffdshow video filter.
