If you enabled audio passthrough, reinstall SAF and this time do not enable it.

To enable or disable audio passthrough why needs to reinstall SAF?
Is not sufficient to change ffdshow audio setting (or add e new profile in it)?

Strange... I think it's not mandatory to reinstall SAF to enable / disable passthrough.

I installed SAF5 with NO audio passthrough. Mixer is enabled by default, passthrough not enabled. I receive audio through HDMI (mixed into stereo, of course). This is my default setting.

If I want to enable passthrough, simply change Windows default device to SPDIF, run ffdshow audio config and tick DTS/AC3 passthrough. No need to untick Mixer, since it's not used when passthrough is active. And if I want to disable passthrough again, I do the opposite.

In fact, I built a couple of AutoHotKeys scripts that do this, then converted them into executable files (named "SPDIF OUT" and "HDMI OUT") and created a couple of MultiShortCut plugins pointing to each executable file. These two plugins integrate into PLUGINS section of MediaPortal. Then, I can launch "SPDIF OUT" or "HDMI OUT" plugins from MP menu with a single click, they both work perfectly. No need to reinstall SAF.

It's even better and easier with a skin that allows sub-level items from the BasicHome, like StreamedMP.

Maybe I'm missing anything. What are, besides Mixer, the other unique settings of ffdshow for passthrough / no passthrough?

I use MePo 1.1.1.0 and *unlocked* SAF 5 codec only and i have problem with DVD, M2TS, MKV - there is no audio during watch movies on TV (I use ATI HDMI cable). Do I have to change something in FFDshow Decoder Audio ?

Make sure your ATI HDMI is default audio output and you have default audio renderer setup in MePo.

I have stuttering in avi files (recorded from my camera) with SAF 5 ?
Video is ok but audio has a big stuttering.
SAF 4 hade no problems with that.
How can i fix this problem?? the avi files contains uncompressed audio i think..
In vlc player it is all fine.
Please help SAF 5 works perfect otherwise and i dont want to downgrade.

I installed SAF 5.00 SVN101102 and I use it with Mediaportal.
Now I have a problem: I can't play with a game.
In fact I installed Micromachines V4 and when I start game mesage error appears: "could not find output pin! hr=0x80040216".
Here is a post (Matroska, a modern and extensible Audio/Video Container format based on EBML) where someone said "Make sure you don't enable AVI and MPEG PS/TS support when installing, it doesn't fully emulate MS Splitters, and some apps might not like that". Probabily it's a Matroska splitter problem.
Is there a possibility to disactive at the moment saf splitter and reactivate it when i finished to play game?

You can use Graphstudio. Try unregister "MPC - Avi Splitter".

I tried to unregister "MPC - Avi Splitter". I typed in dos command
- cd \windows\syswow64
- regsvr32 -u AviSplitter.ax
Then I started game but problem problem did't resolved!!! :-(
Then I unistalled SAF 5 and game started ok. I think Micromachines 4 try to play four mpg files with MS splitter.
Can I disable temporaney SAF 5 without unistall? or there is another solution you think?
Please help me...
