just updated to 5.01 from v4 again.
Now it works with many Videos, but still i cannot play .mov and .asx files.

What can i do? Do you need any Logfiles? Is there anything else needed to play these sort of files? Or is SAF v5.01 able to play without any additional Software?

So this is interesting,when i press "Video Decode on" in Start Menu/SAF/MS DMO i got an error.

It says that the modul WMVDECOD.dll is loaded but it fails when execute command DLLRegisterServer with error code 0x80004005

mhh i've just changed some settings, and now .asx works. Some .mov are playing and some not.

Here this .mov from apple works fine QuickTime: Sample files

But this file not, in vlc or other player there are no problems. Its a webstream from online videos plugin.

This is not a MOV video file. If you open it in text editor you will found it is text link to mp4 file:

mh and mp4 is only a cointainer i think. What could be the reason that it doesnt play this file?

Becouse it is a link, not a video file.
This must be supported by player, not a codec.

they say its a codec Problem.

When i move the file into Videos folder and try to play it, it stillt doestn work. So i dont think its an Online Videos problem
