    Strange error in MGEG-Audio

    Hi to all,

    after installing SAF6 a mysterious error (re-)appeared in the audio-rendering of Live-TV or TS-Files.

    I have SPDIF-out and Audio-passthrough for AC3/DTS enabled.
SPDIF goes to both an audio-DAC (for music) and to a soundbeamer (for TV/DVD-watching).

    With AC3/DTS-sound everything works fine.

But with MPEG-audio the sound is muted to very low levels (about -50...-60dB) when in stereo-mode.
So my DAC and my soundbeamer both show that there are linear PCM-data coming with 48kHz, but they decode them at a very low sound level.

Now when I switch (with Dual-Mono-mode enabled) to only left channel or only right channel or mix both channels to mono the sound appears correctly at full level!!!

It's as if the upper 8 bit of the 16 bit PCM-sample are shifted 8 bit to the right in stereo-mode (which in theory would give -48dB muting).

When I throw the file at graphstudio and press play it's the same behaviour.
TS-files with AC3-audio (which is set as "preferred" in MePo) play OK.
TS-files with only MPEG- Audio play ca. -50...60dB muted.
This behaviour I've had already sometimes in the past, but only very rarely and it didn't disturb.
But now it is with every MPEG-audio.

Detailed pictures of the graphstudio pins and configuration, MP-logs and SAF6 logs are attached.

Your help would be very appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Roger

    How stupid I am

Have found the error by myself:

In audio-mixer the volume-slider for wave-out was on the downmost position :-((((

Slided it to full level and all is OK.

I always thought, that with SPDIF-out the volume can't be changed, because at the SPDIF-panel the volume-slider is locked.
But apparently the sound data still go through the audio-mixer.

Sorry if I stole anybodies time

Volume cannot be only changed for bit streamed formats.
