Are you sure you didnt enabled audio passthrough?

I always enable audio passthrough to my reciever via SPDIF.
Have the same settings as I use to have :?

XVID videos have no sound either and all videos have a strange stutter that wasn't there before :(

IF I uncheck "encode 5.1 streams only" in FFDSHOW sound configuration I have no sound what so ever on TV :(

Something is broken, because I can not change to which codec I want to use. Now I'm stuck with ffdshow for sound and elecard for video :(

Try to use analog connection first. Looks like LAVF refuse connection with Audio renderer - this will explain why elecard is in use, Are you sure you are using default audio renderer in MePo?
Can be audio drivers issue too.
Nothing what can be fixed by sAF itself :/

OK.

I uninstalled SAF, but mpeg audio ist still broken in every setting I try.
I will try to update audio driver if I find a new one.

YES :)
Updating to latest Realtek HD driver did the trick! :)
Thanks for good support!

I'm using SAFv6 with LAVF for audio... Is there a way to automatically switch bitstreaming settings in LAV audio configuration, either through some type of profiles being saved and loaded or through executing a file?

Background: I use MultiShortcut plugin to switch between HDMI and S/PDIF output and would like to activate bitstreaming when switching to S/PDIF and de-activate it when switching to HDMI...

    Thanks!

    hi hoborg,

i have a problem to play *.mkv file with AC3 in 44.1 KHz Audio (with 48 KHz no Problem).
Then the Voices of the Movie is to fast. I play Audio with passthrough to my reciever via SPDIF.
I think it is a resample Problem from the LAV Audio Codec, because i try SAF 5.02 with ffdshow Audio Codec, then i dont have this Problem.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

First of all I would like to thank you and every one involved for the effort in this codec software.

I am having a sound problem with some bluray rip in MKV formats. The problem is there is no sound coming to the TV. I have my htpc setup directly using HDMI to the LCD, and I think the problem is that the video file is trying to output the audio in 5.1/HD/master etc. And the LCD only accepts 2.0 stereo. Could anybody tell me how to set it up, so it only outputs in stereo?

    Hi.
Some recievers have issue with 44.1 audio.

Older 5.xx SAF was based on ffdshow and it always resampled audio to 48khz.
LAVF doesnot support any kind of resample.

    Hi.
Some recievers have issue with 44.1 audio.

There is a bug in current LAV that sends the AC3 44.1 Khz content as 48 Khz stream. Next LAV version is going to include a fix for that.
