Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

@Spooky:

The problem is LAVF splitter + FFDshow DXVA decoder (h.264 stream in MPEG container *.TS and *.M2TS). If you remux TS/M2TS to MKV, problem will be gone.

Possible solutions:
-For TS/M2TS using different splitter (MPC-HC or Haali)
-disable FFDshow DXVA decoder for TS/M2TS containers
-use PDVD11 DXVA decoder

Ah ok, but then, can't the problem be fixed on LAVF's side?

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

I ran into a new one last night with my kids movie "The Lion King". When I start the movie from either DVD or HD the FBI warning screen will come up and then the system will freeze, I have to reboot at this point. I have the same results within MP and MPC-HC. I change the video codec to GBEST and the movie plays. It does not matter if I have ffdshow or LAVF selected as the audio decoder. Any suggestions? Until this point I have not had any issues with SAF v6.0.

I would like to say thank you for all that support this products and its enhancements.

He, looks like nevcairiel already fix the problem on FFDShow DXVA decoder :)

Can be this DVD protected? Did you try to install Any "on the fly" DVD decrypter? :)

Thank you for the suggestion. I have tried the DVD with AnyDVD enabled and with it disabled and it did not make any difference. I am going to play with the codecs more when I have a chance. But could having GBEST installed as a codec interfere with ffdshow? I am also thinking of loading SAF 4.0 back on the HTPC and seeing if I get the same results.

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

I spent some time playing with the codecs last night and was able to determine that there is something in the ffdshow video codec that is causing the problem. I can use the MPC video codec without any issues. I removed all the codecs I could find from my HTPC (which is running XP mediaportal 1.1.3) so I had a clean slate to test with. I am now setup to use the MPC codec (which loads with SAF v6.0) for DVDs and MPG2 video, ffdshow for Bluray and LAVF for all audio codecs. I tried multiple videos, including the one that I was having issues with and was not able to freeze the system.

hoborg if you would like to do some testing I am open to it. It may take a few days to do any testing for my family wants to watch movies and not watch me play with the HTPC.:)

    Hello!

I've got a problem with this codec pack maybe you can help me:

I can watch almost any video, but some .flv Videos don't work, only the sound works with WMP (not at all with MePo). I checked with VLC and it must be the On2 VPS6.2 codec that isn't working (watch-movies, ******* and some others I don't remember, I tried many different streaming services). Flashvideos that use a different codec work without any problem (youtube: h264 MPEG-4 AVC).
Also .mov doesn't work (if i believe what OnlineVideos is trying to say me), though Apple TV works and isn't important at all.

When I try to reinstall no codec is working at all (complete list is empty in MePo-config and WMP doesn't playback anything). Same happens when I uninstall and try to use SAF v5. Usually thats the point when I roll back. I got full server backups on different stages for messing around with some stuff.

I attached the log of SAF and a picture of fimerit, because I guess it's the source of my problems. I used it to get the MePo-config running.

The graphic drivers version number is 8.850.0.0 (it's not in the logs for some reason).

Thanks to everyone who takes time to review my problem :)

All i want is the DVD that ausing such problem - i newer seen this before.
The problem of Gabest MPEG-2 decoder is corupted image between tracks and no HW deinterlacing.
BTW, what GPU do you have? Maybe it doesnot like NV12 colorpaces and cause system to hang. If you use DVD11 decoder from ulnlocked saf to play DVD - still the same problem?

Can you provide sample of such FLV video?
