Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

it happens on blurays and mkvs with 5.1 audio , but not with xvids or such with mp3 audio (so im thinking the passthru is the issue)

ill check tv when i get home but i think its ok
Yes, I guess it's the same situation as with my friend's system. I haven't checked yet if the videos which had the issue had 5.1 audio, but I am guessing they had. And it is indeed between ~200 and ~350 ms. It also happens in MPC-HC, so it's definitely a codec/receiver/hardware/?? issue; there we were able to define an audio delay at least. But configuring a general audio delay would not really be a solution, or would it? Otherwise it will again be not in sync with videos, where it does not happen in the first place.

@SiLenTYL, I use ffdshow for any audio in my htpc (livetv, offline content), so LAV Audio decoder still doesn't have audio delay option... Also I use spdif passthrough... and I have no problem to set up audio delay... ¿?

BTW, thanks for the tip about new refresh rate. I'll try it. What TV do you have?

EDIT: I can't configure those settings for new refresh rate... It says my display is not cappable... :(

Samsung UA46C7000WF 46" LED 3D is my TV..it can do 200hz (thats with true motion set to smooth)

so .. i just tried this out today so im not sure but there is probably no "DRIFT" ... i just need to add an audio delay somehow..

i dont want to force it on my amp because when i use my PS3, it is synced perfectly..ya know?

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

Re-installing SAF and disabling passthrough works - LAV Splitter connects to ffdshow DXVA for vidio and LAV audio decoder for Audio.
However, I want the receiver to do the decoding.
Enabling passthrough wont connect the audio pin to anything in graphstudio. Playing gives video, but no audio.
I know this used to work for me weeks ago. I just re-installed the OS in case it was something I screwed up.
    Running out of ideas.

I don't understand too why LAVF is not able to be connected when the renderer is SPDIF?!?

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

I have just done a rebuild today and moved to 1.2.0 beta and SAF 6 (latest version).

I cannot for the life of me get DTS-HD or True HD to bitstream? It worked fine with 1.2.0A and SAF 5.

Instead of DTS-HD I just get DTS..

Am I doing something stupid? I'm using PDVD11 as the video codec, and LAVF as the audio codec, and when I installed, I said yes to the 2 passthrough questions..

    I'm using an Onkyo HTX22HDX...

It's the only thing left to sort and I have a fab working system then!!

Never mind.. I figured it out - I had to open a video in graph studio and configure LAVF within there..

    Sorry!

I see. Hmm... according to the manual of the Sony STR-DG510, the A.V. SYNC. setting delays the audio by only 68 ms. My friend's receiver has an audio delay setting to, ranging from 0 to 160 ms. But the audio sync issues does not happen with every video. Ah well, I'll have to test it thoroughly.
