It works fine on my Win7 x64 system as well, it's just not working on my other Win7 x86 PC. It's a fairly recent fresh install and I haven't even got an Antivirus of firewall installed so I don't understand what the problem is or why the batch files in C:\T are being created as owned by an unknown user and thus can't be executed. I've cross-checked the Services and the only one that was disabled that might be relevent was Credential Manager, but I've enabled that now and it hasn't helped.

I use saf for a while now, 609 Works fine ( unlocked since the beginning ).
The One thing i don't get is : sometimes the subs don't appear, while i play the movie in wmp directly it Works ok.
Maybe of is a parameter i have to adjust in saf or in medioportal. When i installed 609 , i got the question of saf had to handle subs with fddshow, which i used. Of someone can point me in the right direction .... I would appreciate tuis much .

i'm using the mediapotal subtitle engine from ages and it works ok. deactivate the one of ffdshow and activate the mediaportal one in the video section of mediaportal config. bye
I've tried downloading SAF609 and the key again on the PC in question as I thought maybe something had got screwed up copying them from my other PC. After downloading, I checked the permissions and noted that both SYSTEM and Administrators have Full Control, whereas on the copied SAF609 only Administrators did (I may have removed SYSTEM when I was trying to get it working, although I don't recall doing that and can't think why I would have), so I thought perhaps it would work, but it didn't 
Hopefully someone can help me work out why only the .bat files are being created with an unknown user, whilst the rest work fine as this is really frustrating
EDIT: Phew, Combofix (thanks for the tip Sebastii) seems to have sorted out the problem and I can install SAF609 without any problems now It looks like all it did was delete my users \AppData\Local\assembly\tmp folders but fingers crossed that's the end of that little drama

Hey Hoborg, i have a problem with your PDVD12 from SAF 609. With PDVD12 i can't play trailes from the showtimes plugin here the posts . When i use SAF 608 with PDVD11 or i use the LAV Video all works fine...
And i have Problems with some 1080i h.264 movies, that i recorded from Sky HD !!! Some other with the same format runs great.
In Graphstudio or with the MPC HC Player the movies run great, but than was ffdshow video used for this and not pdvd11

I have done what you suggested , ie : fddshow in saf 6 OFF and MPHC in mediaportal ON, BUT ( there is always a but ;-) ), i have a movie of which i know there arte subtitles , as i can see them in WMP. When i try to select these subs in mediaportal there are still no subtiles to be seen.
What else can be the problem ? It's a dvd format with 5.1 and dutch subtitles in it. Hope you have another suggestion as it is already improved but not as it was before.

I'm having trouble with ffdshow audio not auto-switching profiles.
I've got a TV profile, and the conditions are On Movie Filename=*.tsbuffer, so it should switch to that when I play TV but it doesn't. I recall having trouble with this in the past, but don't remember what I had to do to fix it.
EDIT: My mistake, it is switching but unhelpfully it doesn't highlight the current profile, so a different one (seems to be the last one manually selected by double-clicking on it) stays highlighted in bold. Even if ffdshow closes (when I stop playback) and then re-opens (when I start playback again), the bolded profile doesn't change. so I can't tell by looking which profile is active.

While the content is playing, ffdshow (if being used) should have an icon in the systray (righthand corner of the taskbar) - If you hover the mouse over that icon (i think a simple hover or click will do) it should produce a quick menu, listing the profiles, and there should be a tick against the one in use.
