Save Timeshift parts (1 Viewer)

Hello out there, maybe I have missed it, but In would like a feature that would enable me to enter a "Save as recording" marker (start/stop) or something like that.
Philips has a harddisc recorder, which is able to do that.
Why?
Well, if you are watching TV and discover that you would actually like to record the current programm, either because you have to go or might want or watch it again, I would like to be able to rewind along the already recorded time shift time line and set a marker from where I would like to save this programm and enter an end marker somewhere in the (near) future....

Should be possibe I guess

This is a good idea, i've thought about it a few times but just dismissed it. Anybody have any clues how hard it would be?

this once worked, it does not however in my late 0.2.3 + svn + TvServer installation.

I thought this had been fixed in RC1, though....

I agree that this would be very useful. Many times Ive seen someething on TV, then wished I could have recorded it. So I rewind, and i can watch it over and over - but as far as i am aware, i cannot sae something from the timebuffer to a file?

sorry for reopening this thread, but i'd like to know if it is now possible. if not, it would be really great if thi could be implemented.
