Hi,
currently two mechanism allow to (re)scan for new music (AFAIK):
1.) Reorganize music database in MP music options
2.) Music database tab in MP configuration
Both are application-modal and don't allow to work with MP or the configuration in parallel.
I would like to see the scan as an independant process that allows to scan for music in the background while it is allowed to look TV (just an example).
