Using v7.2.545 with MP 1.0.1

I've just got the one path on my D: partition in the Media Sources box and "Automatically Import Inserted DVDs" is unticked, but when I plug in a removable drive that comes up as I:, MovingPictures scans it and adds all the files found to the database, creating unwanted and double entries.

I can see in the log:
26-Apr-2009 13:15:41 Info [ DeviceManager]: Added I: to DiskWatcher
26-Apr-2009 13:15:41 Info [ DeviceManager]: Added J: to DiskWatcher
26-Apr-2009 13:15:41 Info [ DeviceManager]: Added D: to DiskWatcher

Is there something I can do to stop this?

What kind of drive is I: ? Drives other then CDRom are never auto scanned (unless you add them as an import path) and for CDRom type drive it should honor the (un-)ticked box.

The device manager messages are OK it does not mean it will import from these disk, just that they are there.
Could you supply us with a debug log of when this happens?

I: is a Verbatim removable 2.5" USB HD that belongs to a friend, who brings it over sometimes.

Neither I: nor any of it's folders were ever added as MovingPictures import paths and even if the CDRom box was ticked at some point (I don't believe it was), the removable drive should not have been scanned as it's clearly not a CDRom.

Nevertheless, files on I: have been showing up in my MovingPictures database, clearly identifiable by the path and with a Media/Disk Label of "Verbatim".

I don't have a useful log at the moment but I'll make one and upload it next time my friend comes over with the drive.
