Hi

Apologies for starting a new thread

Could someone please take a look at the attached logs and tell me what's going wrong?

The scheduler seems to work during the day. But if I schedule something airing late at night. It never works

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.140706-1506)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Acer
System Model: Aspire 7739
BIOS: InsydeH2O Version 03.60.52V1.04
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 3764MB RAM

Could it be connected to this?

    Hello again

Can you please give an example of a schedule that failed to record - channel name, program name, date and time. It is difficult to help without that info.

Could it be connected to this?
Seems unlikely. The last log messages that are connected to that error are on the 4th:
[2014-11-04 05:43:01,744] [Log ] [TVService] [ERROR] - Controller: sorry, master/slave server setups are not supported. Since there is already another server in the db, we exit here.
[2014-11-04 05:44:29,969] [Log ] [TVService] [ERROR] - TvController: Deinit failed - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Regards,
    mm

I set the timer to record Re-animator on Film 4

    This is when it aired.

I am doing a test recording now for another film. The scheduled recording is now in progress.....it is the recordings overnight that just always seem to fail[DOUBLEPOST=1416158822][/DOUBLEPOST]See the current recording logs which show functionality

If that is ~2AM on Sunday morning, the reason why it didn't record is because the server PC was asleep since Saturday 8:45 PM:

TV Server won't wake the PC up for recordings unless you configure it to do so. That is usually achieved with the PowerScheduler plugin, which in your setup seems to be disabled...

Hi. I have gone into the power scheduler and enable the epg to wake up for recordings and it is still failing.

How can I fix this? I have been using Mepo for years and never encountered any problems until recently. You could go to bed and put your house on an overnight recording working. I have never had to configure the scheduler separately....it just behaved

    Here are some more logs

I set it to record two episodes of Cops this morning 09:00-10:00- nothing recorded

I'm still not seeing the PowerScheduler plugin enabled. Maybe you haven't restarted the TV service after enabling it?

    Ok

    Here we go again

I will do another test. Incidentally, in other version of MePo, I never had to do this.........has something changed?

That's in MediaPortal. The main one you need to enable is the TV Server plugin. Without that one enabled, the PC will not wake for recordings.
    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Go to the plugins section.
    3. Ensure the PowerScheduler plugin is ticked.
    4. Go to the manual control section [of TV Server configuration].
    5. Click stop service... then start service.

Incidentally, in other version of MePo, I never had to do this.........has something changed?
I don't know what version of MP you were using, but nothing has changed particularly recently. The fact remains: by itself, TV Server has never been able to wake up the PC for recording (or anything else). The PowerScheduler plugin has been used to do this for (5+???) years...
