Update: 1) Turning off the "VMR9 exclusive mode" doesn't work. Even with FFdShow decoder playing (in stead of MPV) . Playback isn't smooth anymore. So this was a bad idea (and unfortunately for me did not work). 2) Spragleknas, using the reg tweaks (and this time executing all of them - despite some warnings) did not work either. The video playback in MediaPortal (at FullScreen) still stays too bright. And I can't find any option in MP to adjust these brightness levels. The brightness set with Ffdshow (via overlay) or in CCC center (The ATI videocard) are not recognised (taken over) by MP. So where does MP (that works with VMR9) gets his brightness levels from ? A registry-setting ? An xml file ? Can I tune these values manually ? Please help... :S 3) Phunqe, I experimented with the HIP tool. It works great! With my MCE Remote I now control Media Player Classic (which started up in MP). There is only one problem. HIP has to be running as a process (before MP is started). Otherwise the MCE Remote is not recognised in Media Player Classic. But if I do so, then all the keys pressed on the MCE Remote (within MP) are executed twice. So, if i click the UP key, MP goes up twice (in stead of once). Dito with LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, etc keys. This is no good :( Do you know, how I can solve this issue ? I tried to turn of the MCE Remote in MP. But that didn't work either. Maybe the solution is fairly simple. But I haven't found it yet. So please help me, if you can... Controlling Media Player Classic with the MCE Remote, would be a great workarround, if tuning the brightness levels in MP is not possible.
