[solved] screen goes pink after loading MP (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys

I have been using MP for 10 years and havnt really had many issues. I recently bought a UHD Samsung 65 inch TV and found that the motion was a bit jerky. only a touch but noticeable. I have upgraded to the latest version and followed instructions for advanced Lav filter settings. I think the motion is better but when media portal starts the screen goes pink and the resolution goes funny a few seconds after loading.

If I move the mouse it goes back to proper screen for a bit but then back again.

I went back to 1.8 and it didn't happen, now I'm back to latest version and it happens again.

any help would be appreciated... thank you

just noticed that if I constantly move the mouse it stays ok. As soon as I stop it goes pink again

Check whether your TV has a "deep colour" or "high dynamic range" (HDR) mode. You may need to disable or enable that.

Checked and it made no difference having HDR on or off

Hmmm, I'm surprised.

This sort of issue has been seen before:

...and the problem turned out to be HDR or deep colour (10/12 bit) there.

Does your problem look similar to the problem shown in the video from the linked thread above?
Are you able to provide a video, photo or screenshot of your situation?

mm... thank you mate., yes exact same issue. at first i changed hdr mode, tried on and off as i thought that was what you meant, then i found hdmi uhd colour and turned it on for HDMI 1. looks like it fixed it straight away.

Interesting so this issue was introduced sometime between 1.9 and 1.15.
