I recently put together a HTPC with the following specs:
MOBO: ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO
PSU: ANTEC| EA-380D GREEN RT
CPU: AMD|ATH II X3 435 AM3 R
MEM: 2Gx2|GSKILL F3-12800CL7D-4GB RAM
BLU-RAY DRIVE: LITE-ON| IHOS104-08 R
Now, all has gone well so far, and I'm using MediaPortal 1.1, but I'm experiencing one nagging issue - you guessed it, screen tearing. When watching movies with quick pans / lots of activity on the screen, I get some tearing, now I've noticed (whether it's true or not) is that it MOSTLY happens in the lower right section of the screen (not sure if this matters). That hardware is hooked up to a 780p Sony Bravia (I know, nothing special) but I'm killing myself trying to fix this and getting nowhere.
I've tried it with vsync on and off, tried it with different media players (VLC, WMP, WMC, as well as MediaPortal).
Any light you can shed on this topic will be very beneficial to me and much appreciated.
