Apologies for this minor rant - usual service will resume shortly...

Can we PLEASE have some sort of forum, RULE that says skin designers should have screen shots in their release threads?

Whilst looking for a replacement skin, I became quite aware just how many threads have no screenies in them.
This is EXTREMELY annoying...
How are you supposed to find a skin if there are no details - I guess you're just supposed to download it, apply it, playwith it and delete is it's not for you.

That's STUPID!!!

One thing I've noticed, why do a lot of skins lack screen shots for the EPG or the TV OSD?

Are there that few people use the TV part of MP?

Some skins might have screenshots @ repository, though...

I agree that forum thread should contain screenshots, but I'm reluctant to set a rule demanding it - and act on it (close thread) - if thread does not.

I agree that one picture says more than a thousand words. One screenshot may even be enough to say "I like" or "I dislike".

There aren't that many new skins, why not just politely write to the author and ask if some screenshots could be uploaded?

After all, it should be in the skinners interest to have more users, but they don't come if you just post a zip-file with no explanations or screenshots.

Black Glass HAS screenshots - it's just they're not added to each new minor version post.

Not in the release post OR on the Google code site - I guess I'm missing something then...
Not in Nova either - not in the community mods post...
Not in repository either...
There are some posted by people requesting stuff - not from the OP.

Not bothering to look any where else - they should be OBVIOUS!

If they're hidden, what's the point?
1st release thread should have screenies in - not trying to start an argument, but they should be part of the original post.
Burying them seems pointless...
