Second Skystar2 is not recognized by TVE3 (1 Viewer)

Hello

I have started to use the TV server after long time experience with MP. At first I set-up the server with one DVB-S (SS2) card and was able to access the server and MyTV from another client PC in the network. So far so good

I then added another Skystar2 into to the Server which was recognized in the Device Manger without problems. However, when I start the TVServer set-up the second Skystar2 does not show up in the list of my server. Only one card shows up.

This is what I have tried so far:
1. Changed PCI slot for second SS2 card
2. Upgraded SS2 drivers from 4.4.0 to 4.4.1
3. Deleted the SQL database TvLibrary.mdf and created a new one

All above didn't bring any success. Any other ideas what's going wrong here?

Hi there, to get the second card recognised you'll need the bda drivers. The latest ones on the technisat website dont appear to work with MP as the card is recognised as an ATSC DVB-T card so i'd suggest yopu sue the ones attached to this thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tve3_skystar2_woes-t29400p2.html

BDM driver OK - Now problems with diseqc

Thanks for the reply. I have installed the recommended BDM drivers and you are correct, now the 2 cards get recognized by TV server. Thanks for that.

Now, however I have problems to get diseqc working. I have a monoblock quad LNB adjusted to Hotbird-13deg and Astra-19deg. With the previously used WDM driver and the single SS2 card I found all channels when putting Hotbird on A/A and Astra on A/B.

I have no luck with those adjustments when using the BDM driver. The first LNB (Hotbird) finds all channels but the second LNB (Astra) doesn't find anything. It looks like TVServer cant switch with diseqc to the second LNB. Does the BDM driver support diseqc? Any idea how to confirm the right settings or do further testing?

Hi Hans, I think there are some issues with diseqc and that driver, i would suggest using the new BDA driver on one card and reverting to the older driver on the other card. That should give you the best of both worlds.
