Seek Bar?? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I've just installed Mediaportal as I want to get away from WMC but the one thing I cannot fathom and will possibly be a deal breaker is where is the seek bar? I've tried a couple of the themes and can see it, as in, when viewing videos and tv recordings, its there but you cannot click on it... On numerous other video players, theres a seek bar which is clickable but why not this? I don't really want to hit the forward 2x, 4x, 8x etc when a seek bar is perfectly adequate (for someone using a mouse)..

Is there no way around this?

    Hi there and welcome :)

I do not have a mouse on my htpc, so I cannot really say if it is possible or not. Maybe one of the skinners can tell us. My guess is NO.

Anyway, MediaPortal is most effective with a remote, but keyboard can also work nice.
I think your best bet is to use arrow keys skip steps.

    Thanks for the quick response...

I use a triple screen setup on a pc, with the right most monitor being used as a video player/tv viewer... mediaportal would be perfect, as I can access all my videos/photos/music/tv so a mouse clickable scrollbar would be awesome. I don't really want to use a remote or keyboard, when i can just instantly click half way though a video or tv recording, rather than hitting the time advance button repeatedly and waiting for it to get 50 - 75% way thru..

shame, as it could have been something special.. oh well, back to WMC/Zoomplayer..

    thanks again..

Before you move away, did you try the option in MP Configuration for "enable special mouse controls"?
Together with the TopBar plugin, it might just work...I will try to find a mouse and test...

    AW: Seek Bar??

Hi Vladdo and rekenaar, I think you mean to use the progressbar like a seekbar (e.g. position the mouse on it and move to left or right).
This is NOT possible atm, and I don´t think we willl do something on that ;)
