Selecting with Number Keys (1 Viewer)

Hi.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for such a Useful Plugin.

I have a question about selecting movies using the number keys on a remote control.

I am using a MCE remote control and wonder if it's possible to implement a feature that
allows you to jump to a certain part of the list using the letter keys on the remote.

i.e. as I am scrolling through the list, if I stop and press 5 three times, it would shift the
highlighted movie to the first movie beginning with L.

At present, it jumps to first movie beginning with J as soon as you press 5 then displays
the full info for this movie, so you then have to press back and continue scrolling till you
get to L.

Basically can it do the same as what happens when you press number keys in the video
section of MP as it is very useful when you have loads of movies, it just allows you to jump
to a movie quicker by pressing using the number keys.

Does anyone know of a solution for this? I am having the same issue as the original poster and would love to jump to movies in my list by their first letter.

I noticed other plugins act in a similar way (myemulators), so Im guessing its something in the plugin that needs to be changed.

I would love to see this feature too. I have hundreds of movies and really miss not being able to jump to specific movie by choosing the first letter of the title with the alpha-numeric keypad (just like you can do with the MP music database).

Is it hard to implement.

It used to work exactly like you guys want but for some reason it was changed to automatically open the 1st movie of the 1st letter key you push in the last couple months. I also have an MCE remote and would love to have this feature back. However since the 1st post was like a month ago it seems like this plugin doesn't have much direct support from the author.

Edit: I think the last time this feature worked correctly was 4.24 It was buggy with 0.2.3.0 so I deleted it a while ago. I sent the author a pm so hopefully this can get fixed.
