Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to send a "SPACE" keystroke in translator for the button mapping. I've tried {SPACE} and {SPACEBAR}. Neither have worked.

Is there any document that lists out what to use for special keystrokes like CTRL, ALT, ENTER, BACKSPACE, SHIFT, along with combination keypresses like CTRL+S?

I've looked all over the forums and the documentation available for IR Server Suite but couldn't find anything for this simple problem =|

Using the keystroke command {SPACE} should do it ... I'll go try now and see what happens, maybe it's a bug.

    Works for me.

Also, right click in the text area in translator when setting up the keystroke command ... that will give you a list of commands you can insert. There are more though...

Go to the documentation and look under Appendices, The Macro Editor, Keystroke Command, "click here" ... this will give you a more complete list of available commands and modifiers.

Sorry it's not more obvious to find, I'll look at fixing the docs in the future.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I feel like a fool for not looking through the Appendices in the documentation. Too busy digging around the "translator" article.

I'll try setting up the keystrokes again. (Just trying to get play/pause working in media player classic)

Just did a quick test with notepad and it's working fine... but still won't work in Media Player Classic... so must be MPC, not translator's problem.

I'd like jump in here also having problems with Media Player Classic. MPC doesn't pick up the separate play and pause buttons on the remote. Supposedly it can recognize MEDIA_PLAY and MEDIA_PAUSE button commands but I haven't been able to get it to recognize those commands.

I don't know if it's currently possible, but it would be nice if Translator could send out some media related APP_COMMANDs like the MEDIA_* series or at least just MEDIA_PLAY_PAUSE so it would be possible to map usable buttons to programs that don't read the separate play and pause buttons. Additionally, giving Translator the ability to send out virtual key codes could also help.
