Server and client ? (1 Viewer)

Is there a way to have my main media portal act as a server for a computer I have setup in another room? I want it to just connect and load up all the stuff correctly without remaking data bases and stuff. Does this exist? As of right now I have to have 2 setup and the one in my bedroom add files over the network, but then I have to redo all the MP-tv series and other plugins and data bases.

This can be done (someone may post the link to the forum thread - I don't have time to find it now), but it is not advisable.

If two computers are trying to use the same database, there is a good chance it will become corrupted.

Remaking the databases isn't so bad (for TV series plugin it is almost automatic).
