I have to wonder if the problem lies with your server. I've been using TVE3.0 for well over a year now and right now I would say it works perfectly for me. It's rock solid and crashes maybe once every 3 months. Channel changing is great for me and near instant even when switching between DVB-T and DVB-S channels. Recording and playback works great as well. I have multiple clients running off of the server as well and I can timeshift from all 3 at once with no issues and channel change to my heart's content.
