Hello,

I'm using mediaportal (not the TV server) and I need to connect set top box to it. Right now I'd be happy just to get a signal from it :) So, the STB is connected via composite cable to the AUX of tv-card, and with tv-card's software, I can switch to AV, and see the video supplied by STB. How do I set this input in mediaportal?

Using WinXP SP2, LifeView FlyDVB-T trio PCI

Thanx,

Dalibor

    1. If you go to the TV Channels section within the TV Server config, you can manually add a channel by clicking on the 'Add' button.
    2. Move to the 'analogue' tab on the dialog that appears, then for the channel number enter the number that you would enter on your STB to change channels.
    3. In the 'source' drop down list choose the input that the STB signal comes in from, so choose CVBS for composite and SVHS for s-video. (You might have more than one of each here, such as SVHS#1, SVHS#2, just choosing the first one should work)
    4. Click OK to exit the dialog and your new channel will appear in the list, but at this point it's not mapped to a card, so go to the channel mappings section and assign your newly created channel to your tuner.

Thanx for the reply, I already did something like that but it didn't work, I probably selected wrong input. After I read your reply I managed to do it, even though picture quality is not good. Even worse, there is huge (like 4 seconds) lag when I i.e. change channel on STB to what is displayed... Oh, well.... :)

I have been looking around the forums as I have the same lag problem when bringing in SVHS from my satellite box. Does anyone know of any configurations that could speed this up.
