Hi to all
I'd like to know if i can configure a sequence of char keystroke (of my keyboard) to a button of my microsoft media center remote!

Do you know like to do it?

I'd like to use it to re-login when my screensaver startup for example.

Can i do it?

Thank you to all :D

MCE Replacement plugin should be able to do this. But I don't think it's a good idea setting your screensaver password to a button.

For one, it wastes a button that could be used for other things. Secondly, it makes a mockery of password security. Thirdly, you could just disable the password requirement or the screensaver itself if it bothers you.

But it's up to you. So give MCE Replacement Plugin a try and let me know if you have any trouble. I can help you with the plugin if you have any questions.

    Good luck,

    Hi there
Thank you for your post. I already try to use it but i'm not so able with that plugin.
I think that i don't know how to use it. Because i put the letter on command line but the plugin try to run it (like an executable file) and not emule a keystroke and report an error that don't find the file. Could you help me?
    Thank you

You need to create a macro with a Keystroke command in it. Then associate that macro to a button on your remote.

There is fairly extensive documentation included with the plugin, which you can find on your start menu under MediaPortal -> MCE Replacement Plugin -> Documentation

Give it a try and let me know how you go.

    Cheers,
