No matter, if movies, music or pictures, whenever I add my own folders,
they are gone after a restart of media portal.

So whenever I open the "Configuration" after a restart I always see
my two optical drives and "My Music"/"My ...".

I'm certainly an administrator on my machine, so I have the right to
write files wherever I want.

What is the problem?
Is the any configuration file, where I can add manually the folders I want?

There is Mediaportal.cfg in the MP root directory. This is where those settings are kept.

I guess you could try renaming it and then setting up those things in MP again. Maybe it's corrupt and a fresh one would work better?

Manually editing the Mediaportal.cfg with XMLSpy worx.
Now I have all the music, videos and pictues I want.

I guess you didn't close the MediaPortal main application while configuring it with configuration.exe. In this case settings will not be saved. This shouldn't happen anymore with the latest versions, you'll get a warning now.
