I cannot install RC2 becuase I keep getting an "unhandled exception" error message. I have followed the requirements as closely as I possibly can, as confusing as it all is.

Here are the details:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi neognat,
i get the same error.
I think it appears, when the Installation tries to configure the windows firewall even though it isnt active.
Just remove the Option "configre Windiws Firewall" in the Installation Process and let me know if it works.

i had that problem aswell, and it didn't help one bit to click away "configre Windiws Firewall". But .... what I did was simply to enable the firewall again, under the installation. That seemed to do the trick for me.

Good luck .. :)

Got the same error and unchecked the boxes for firewall configuration, under the advanced installation - not the single click installation. Problem then solved.

I'm using another firewall than the built in i XP, probably that's what went wrong...
