Hi all,

First post..I'll be jumping in to the HTPC thing very soon and was hoping you can maybe give some advice as there's a lot of confusing stuff out there.

At the moment I use a Topfield PVR, which is awesome, but Id like to create similar on the PC. This would mean instead of only being able to watch or record 1 channel from one tuner, you can use the entire multiplex your tuned to, in essence watch and record different channels on the same tuner. Then 2 tuners, record 2 watch one.

Does anyone know of such a PCI card and if so will "MediaPortal" be able to deal with it?

Thanks in advance

Have a read of the Mediaportal documentation and you'll find most answers there.

The TV Server/Client setup of MP does support Viewing/recording multiple channels per transponder, see http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/TV-Engine_0.3/overview.

My setup regularly records 2 channels and watches 2 different channels simultaneously, I use the Hauppauge Nova-T 500, which is a dual tuner.

Cheers matey,

I actually had a read of that late last night after I posted. That server software sounds awesome :O .

One final, ok maybe 2 questions :)

Is the Hauppagge HVR 1300 compatible with the mediaserver as I require Freeview and SKY through RF?

As this is lead by Frodo, can we stream to XBMC? Edit: Found the thread for this, WOW!!!!

Cheers
Guys
