I've just had a quick 5 minute play around with this and come up with the following views. I'll tweak things a bit more for the next release of the skin (which will be after MP 1.0.1 is released).

One thing I noticed was that not all of the fanart displayed as 1280x720 in the list/icon views but when you go to the details page it displays OK (?)

Error installing latest plugin?

I'm getting the attached error when trying to install the newest version of this plugin.... I can install the older one no problem?

UPDATE : Completely uninstalling the old version resolved this.

Thank you Bleaze... You can also show the poster in the list view using the #st_poster placeholder.

About the fan-art display issue... ??? I set the #backdrop placeholder, nothing else...

EDIT: It's a skin issue... In detail view you set <keepaspectratio>yes</keepaspectratio>. You must use this setting in both views or none of them...

awesome, grabber works (almost) perfectly now..

* grabbing for today and tomorrow, same settings as before, problems are in this "movie" (its actually only coverup title for hidden premiere" where they don't wanna reveal movie title until you watch it)
"Skrivena Pretpremijera" (KAMO.hr - Skrivena pretpremijera)
i get bunch of html stuff in Genre and few HTML tags in Plot..

*related to above, it might be a good idea to trim() everything and also strip html tags and double spaces everywhere..

* i choose trailers to "none" and there is no reference to trailers in moviedata.xml.. thats fine but trailer button on GUI (id 41) is still enabled and getting black screen when trying to play..

* furthermore if in this scenario i try to play trailer and press b (stop) when back in plugin there is no more button "Change View" (id 2). it's completely gone until i restart plugin within MP

* in genre EVERY letter is capitalized now.. what i ment was to capitalize only first letter in string

I don't understand... You want the first letter of every word to be capitalized or just the first letter of the phrase? Anyway i use the StrConv function with the ProperCase parameter.

* select Show by theaters, then choose your theater and the day.. you'll get the list of movies for that theater on that day and #st_theater/#theater gui properties will be filled.. next select movie (to see details) and after you press back (esc), that label is cleared and you are still in theater view

this is all i could find.. genre parsing from kamo.hr could still be improved (i see you parse genre to first comma (,) on the page)..sometimes there is more..

generally speaking, "genre line" (bold one) first under the title on kamo.hr site is composed like this:

Genre, Country, Year, Duration
(instead of Genre, sometimes there is: Genre1, Genre2)

here is how i would do it: (look attached c# source)

edit: yup.. DOUBLE SPACES should definitely be trimmed everywhere possible as there are doubble spaces in Director now, and Actors and...

i have made b&w skin to use poster in list view and fanart in thumb/list view... with some other mods.. will post it later when i test it more..


few more things i've noticed grabbing for today and tomorrow:

* ImdbUserReview isn't OK.. for example on movie "Seven Pounds" i get "9.1/10" and on this movie The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (1972) i get "10/10".. movie "Hotel for Dogs" gets 7.9 and so on...

* this movie has two directors.. i only get one in moviedata.xml (KAMO.hr - Toranj)

* small request for ReleaseDate enhancement: sometimes date is 5.02.2009.. i would like it to always be dd.mm.yyyy (pad missing zero at beginning). what about #st_releasedate gui property?


sorry for "nagging" so much,just wanna make this plugin perfect i'm willing to help coding too, if you let me or post the source..

This rates are taken from the Kamo site, when available... (It use an Ajax request). I can remove it if you wish...

* imo, the best solution for rates would be to *always* use imdb rates, only use kamo.hr for the movies where no imdb rate is available.. watch about consistency of rates.. ie always (imdb and kamo.hr) use xx/10 format..
may i ask what request you use to pull rates from kamo.hr.. i cannot see them anywhere

using version from 09.03.2009 i get capitalized first letter of every word in genre (excample "U Boji Film"). in this new xml everything looks fine!! awesome job!

BTW, you forgot the "dokumentarni" genre in your code...

edit2: found a bug in list view poster...

* requirement is that the first facadeview item doesnt have any poster (<image> tag not existing or empty). in that case plugin shows default "no poster image".. there are few ways to reproduce this..

first, visibility condition on list poster image control should be: <visible>facadeview.list+!Control.IsVisible(24)</visible>

enter the plugin, select list view, exit, reenter and there is no poster shown (empty)

same happens when you enter movie details, then go back to first view

as the #selecteditem is filled with first facadeview item i would expect the poster to be filled from the same item..

mind you, this only happens if first item has no poster assigned, if it has one, then everything works!

Thanks for pointing that out - I didn't have a chance to look at it for long yesterday but I'll play around with it a bit more this weekend. I'll see how showing the poster in list view looks too (as well as using the fanart in the background).
