Shutdown remote computer running TvServer (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I have a client/server computer system setup of Mediaportal.
I am looking for a MediaPortal solution/plugin to shutdown my Media Server (which runs TvServer) with my MediaPortal clients remote control.

Any ideas, suggestions?

well I guess you could use the multi-shortcut plugin or MyPrograms to call a batch file to run on the local computer to shutdown the remote.
It's not a simple one remote button press but will work.
The batch file would call the shutdown command with the correct parameters to shut down a remote computer. It can even display a warning message to anyone using that PC first.

You could also use Aaron's IR Server Suite to cal the batch file as well. That would give you a true one key solution.

Let me know if you need any more information, but to try and work it out yourself, just type in shutdown from the command prompt and it will give you a list of the options and syntax to use.

I have done something close to what you want to do. I use the built in Applications plugin that fires off a batch file that uses a util called Poweroff to shut down another PC on my network.
