Signal strenght good but says "Nothing Found" (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Everything was working fine when I reinstalled my c drive after my SSD snapped. I reinstalled mediaportal 1.2.2, scanned for channel and got all ATSC over the air channel I usually get. But then I got, again, that weird issue where some channel are unknown. I fixed that last time but don`t remember how. So I tried to fix it and use the delete buttin on all channel in the TV Channels portion of the TV server setup. Then I tried to rescan....

Nothing! The weird thing is that I do get signal but... mediaportal says Nothing Found. I uninstalled and resinstalled 3 times, completely ( the one that cleans even the registry) without success.

Here is an example of what I get in the log for channels that have and have no signal. First one is channel 10 and should be a channel, the other channel 11 is not.

Hi,

you said you had this problem before.. Did it had something to do with the transponderlist you used that time maybe? Maybe your cablecompagny has chanched some stuf..

Maybe it's a good idea to do also a scan with the software that is included with your tv card.. Than you know shure if it is a Mediaportal problem or not..

No I did not have this problem per say. The problem I had is that some channel are identify as "unknown" instead of having the call sign. By the way, I don`t get the signal through cable... Here in Canada practically everything that come through cable is QAM encrypted. I get my signal from Over the Air HD TV.

What I wanted to redo is the channel scan, so I deleted all the channels found. I think I should do the "clear" instead of the "delete". Delete seem to ignore the channels after... but any how.

My problem that I have for the first time now is that when I scan, signal strength and quality is good but media portal says `Nothing Found`when there is obviously something.

I have uploaded the complete log file in case something useful can be found in the rest of the file...

Found my problem, although not completely fixed... It is a Windows Firewall issue and I believe it is the HD Homerun setup that does not its job. In both Mediaportal and HD Homerun setup you can briefly see a `Configuring Windows Firewall`. But I turned it off bang everything works. Just need to check which one does not work and create the rule.

Fixed it for good. Don`t know what was the issue but...
1) deleted all Mediaportal rules
2) Redid the rules according this mediaportal wiki

3) Scan and Voila.
