Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for awhile and haven't really needed to talk but now I figured I would ask. Is there a way to have MediaPortal play the next video file in a directory automatically without making a playlist? It'd be nice to be able to skip to the next one somehow as well. I did a quick search but didn't find anything on this.

If it's a movie split into multiple pieces, and named appropriately (movie-CD1.mpg and movie-CD2.mpg) MP would automatically play the second part after the first.

If you really mean to play a directory, one file, the next, the next... I am not aware of anything outside of a playlist.

Like milhouse, I am also not aware of that functionality. At least the playlist can be created easily for a whole directory. You do not even need to enter the directory, just select the directory and ADD TO PLAYLIST from context menu. All videos inside will be added to playlist.
