hi everyone
i currently run a silverstone lascala 16m htpc case with an amd athlon64 3200+ and a arctic-cooling silencer64TC. cpu temps are around 42°C with C&Q activated. roomtemps are around 24°C.
Now my question:
Summer is coming and roomtemps will rise accrding to my experiences to almost 40°C (it's a flat on the top floor). My fears are that the AC-cooler won't be sufficient and i'm looking for a better cpu cooler. and additionally the AC-Cooler is silent, but still clearly hearable.
I had a look at the thermaltake sonictower but this monster ist too high for the silverstone case. Now i consider to buy a thermalright xp-120 or si-120. Does anyone know if this fits into the case? And what about the noise and cooling-capacities (eg. with a mounted papst 4412/F2GLLE)?
regards

I am using a thermalright xp-120 with a mounted papst 4412/F2GLLE), and it works like a charm. Tight, but good temps/noise.

If your cpu socket is placed different from my Asus p4p800 s478 mobo you may or may not have problems.

thanks for your response.
i forgot to mention that i'm using a asrock 939Dual-SATA2 mobo. for the installation of my articcooling cooler i had to bend 2 of the chipsetcooler-fins, but i think the xp120 has a smaller baseplate.
