But watch a video on full screen then press esc and it will be how mine starts

Ok i just wanted to see if you were using an external player like VLC or MPC,. There's no settings in configuration for starting in full screen so i'd just do a new install.

OK a screen shot of Vidoes with me playing Battle star, the yellow circle is where it is playing as you can see not in full screen at all

might use MPC anyway as iget dolby digital from that but its not as seemless as using the embedded player

If you don't want to do a new install you should post your MP logs and maybe something will be showing there.

While you are at it you may want to install MP TV Series to give a better look and feel to TV Series (you'll see what I mean when you install it).

I have installed that - now when I open a video from there it opens in full screen - weird
